  We really enjoyed our stay at Arlington. It’s not fancy accommodations. It’s special because it holds so much history. We enjoyed the hot tub at night and the trail access in the back of the hotel. It’s easy to walk from the hotel to the main parts of town and the national park.

  Great location

  For a hotel that's almost 100 year old I thought our room was ok and certainly very clean. AC worked so well I was cold most of the time. I saw a few other dogs but never heard any barking. Staff was great and very welcoming to our Dalmatian. The Arlington lawn is right across the street from the hotel to use as a pet area and the pet area by the pool connects directly to the National Park trail system for walks (you do have to walk up some stairs to get to the pet area and connect to the trails). Our dog is a senior and stairs can be difficult for him but he was able to negotiate them. You cannot beat the location of this hotel. We have been to Hot Springs several times and I was so happy to be able to walk everywhere and not deal with the crazy weekend traffic and finding parking!

  Sad state

  Evening staff was rude and not engaged at all. The room was extremely dilapidated and run down, carpets were so dirty and stained we refused to take off shoes, the paint and wallpaper was peeling everywhere, doors not closing or hard to open, room was hard to keep at a steady temp either too hot or too cold. The only thing good about this place was the bed was comfy, daytime staff was great, and location was centrally located. But will NOT stay at the Arlington ever again, unless major renovation is completed. It doesn't take much to scrape off old paint and reapplying a fresh coat, that alone would be an upgrade to property. They just need to make an effort. Place has supposedly been under renovation for over 4 years from reading past reviews. I don't see it! All the bad reviews from years ago are still holding true. Oh and watch your bank accounts! Got full amount for stay pulled day before our arrival and an additional $220 pulled the night of check-in. Ashley corrected it at checkout, but had I not looked at account, who knows!

  Not really pet friendly

  The “place” they tell you is that is easily accessible from the 6th floor (pet floor) for your pets to go relieve themselves is the side of the mountain behind the hotel. No lighting at night. Thankfully we brought a flashlight. The rest of the hotel is in dire need of refurbishment. It is so sad b/c we love the Arlington. We stayed here after we got married years ago.

  Cool historic stay!

  Really neat hotel near restaurants and attractions. Dog rooms are up stairs which was close to the roof top access to the trails and mountain. Better than walking downstairs for dog to use the bathroom

  Dog friendly, Amenities Outdated

  Similar to the other reviews I’d say the hotel is outdated. However, from a dog-friendly standpoint this hotel is on point. Not only is it a dog-friendly hotel but it backs up to the National Parks’ hiking trails, which are all dog friendly. Additionally, the hotel staff all seemed to love their canine guests. We were stopped by almost all of the staff members we passed in the hallways who wanted to greet our fur child.

  Old Hotel, Great Location

  Anyone traveling with a dog is placed together in one section of the 6th floor. Walking down the hall is similar to entering a kennel with all the dogs barking. However, in our room you couldn’t hear the other dogs. The hotel is very old and probably has never been renovated. We bought flip flops just to wear inside the bathroom. It’s a great location, next to the National Park and on the main city drag.

  So Disappointing

  Save your money and stay in a Super 8 or, better yet, just sleep in your car. This place charges for the “historic” aspect of the hotel. The hotel is terribly run down. I was told that some rooms are renovated. That is definitely not the case for dog-friendly rooms, which are located on one floor. We changed our stay from two nights to one night. We would’ve left the first night had we had an option to stay elsewhere.
