This place is dog friendly. There are little areas for your dog to relieve themselves but there are no dog stations (e.g., trash can and complimentary dog bags) around the property. For us the complimentary dog bags aren’t a deal breaker but it’s nice to have in case we ran out or forgot them. I recommend taking a walk to the Sunnyvale Community Center if you want to take your dog on a longer walk.

Trig had a nice couple of days at the Maple Tree inn. His only concern is not being able to open the door for me when he really wants to get out to pee! Also, he notes there really is no grass at all on the grounds, so he had to poop in wood chips, which is fine with him, but it was obvious that there is no special doggie relief location on the grounds. There is a smoking location, however! He found that interesting, and avoided it. He really didn't want to poop on the nice manicured strip in front of the property, unless he had to. Alas, he had to.

Safe Stay: Maple Tree Inn has enhanced cleaning and safety measures in place. Masks and hand sanitizer are provided to guests, and rooms are disinfected between each stay and sealed after cleaning. Social distancing measures are in place, as well as physical barriers between staff and guests. Contactless check-in and check-out are available. Each room has a 24-hour gap period between stays, and hotel staff are required to wear masks.
