We were told upon arrival that our dog could not be brought to any restaurants on the property (even outside) and that we also could not leave him in our room otherwise they had a policy threatening to call the ASPCA! It was crazy to me to charge $100 for a pet fee but not really be pet friendly with their policies. We also were told our dog would receive a welcome basket from Chewy but we were not given that.

This is a pretentiousness property that is lacking in customer service, amenities and stand-off room cleanliness. Right upon check-in, already an unreasonable 4pm time for a 6pm wedding service, the desk asked for $100 for the dog’s stay. We were only staying a day and the fee was for one day or more. They claimed to know nothing about BringFido although the room was already charged to my account.

I had a reservation here that I had to cancel. The pet-friendly package says you can only have one pet up to 50 lbs, but elsewhere on the website it says you can have more than one pet and if you reserve through some of the secondary sites and put in two pets this property will come up as an option. I called for something else before we left to find out their policy is to let you check in with only one pet. I hope no one else ends up looking for a place to stay last minute in Tarrytown!

No complaints on our stay at the Estate. $50 pet fee, clean rooms. Large TVs! stayed in the Rockland House. Requested ground floor for quick in and out for doggie walks, no problem. Good price for a dog friendly resort.

Just want to share a very unpleasant experience at Tarrytown House Estate: they say they're pet friendly, and they do allow small dogs, but if you make your reservations through BringFido or any other site other that directly through the hotel, they are totally unwilling to provide you with anything they promise: No Barkey Bag, no pet bed, no treats, no toys...NOT EVEN BOWLS for water and food! In addition, because of the layout of this property, there is no quick and easy access to the outside from any of their guest rooms.

The hotel caters to conferences and weddings, but they have plenty of area to walk dogs because it is a large property.
They have a special package for dogs, but it was not worth it. We received a "Bark Box" which had treats, bone, cheap chew toys, and a dog map of NY which was cute. However, they advertised the package to include a bowl and bed for the dog, which was not in the room when we checked in. I asked about the missing items at the front desk and they had no idea (even though I had to sign a form at check-in saying that we would pay $90 if the items were removed from the room).
