  This is the cleanest, nicest, best smelling dog-friendly hotel I've ever stayed in. Even more amazing is the price was fantastic! Not all dog friendly hotels are created equal for sure.

  Our first room was a bit a smelly like maybe a previous dog had an accident, but they quickly gave us a new room. The dog area was clean and we were on the first floor so it was easy to get to.

  Needs cleaning

  This hotel was pet friendly and accommodated your dog with a dog area outside and poop bags and trash receptacle for disposal. The problem was very strong pet odor in the room. Also the room was not pet ready; carpet on the floors and very little room for your dog to stretch out. I think the carpeting was the source of the odor. The staff was friendly and the areas were pet friendly and accessible, but the carpet and strong odor was a problem. Either have pet friendly hard floors or shampoo the carpets more often.

  Friendly staff, good pet area

  Friendly staff and the rooms are clean if a teensy bit outdated. When you book, you choose a pet-friendly room which are all in a row on the first floor near a back exit that has a pet area and dog bag station. A good hot breakfast buffet (with a waffle maker) was included. We would've liked to try the small indoor pool, but didn't have suits!

  Served the purpose

  It was ok. Charged for the pet, breakfast was ok, the room was not very clean. Loud talking at 2am in the hall and in their room. Will not stay there again.

  Clean, plenty of walking areas

  Nice, clean, comfortable room. Well lit outdoor areas to walk. Busy location in a mall area, lots of places to eat nearby. Room was quiet despite being on ground floor near a door. Would stay again.

  OK stay

  Very difficult to find. Both the GPS in the car as well as google maps was unable to locate the hotel. Drove around for a while and finally called the hotel for directions. Hotel is very dated, however it was clean and beds very comfortable.

  Convenient

  The pet friendly rooms were located continently on the first floor near a back exit which led straight out onto a grassy pet area with poop bags and a bin which made walking our dogs really easy! The room was comfortable and the free breakfast was nice.

  Nice regular hotel

  Nice place. The Chinese buffet across the street was sooo good. Staff is friendly. It’s quiet and clean. Just a little outdated but that does not detract from anything. I’m glad we stayed here.

  Excellent choice when traveling with dog

  Great Lication

  Hotel was located a short drive off of I-81 but worth it. Rooms were clean, staff very friendly and helpful. When we got to our room there was a beeping sound that went off every 40 seconds. Called the front desk and they came immediately and fixed the problem. Location is good, lots of restaurants nearby. We had food delivered to our room from the local pizza place, Franks Italian Restaurant, which was so convenient after being in the car for hours. The food was delicious. Pet area right outside the door, very convenient.

  Meh!

  Small hotel, but in a good location. We also had a room down by the double doors to go outside, which was broken. The door was propped open with a stone to keep it from closing. They need to fix that!! Very unsafe at night. Our room was clean with no doggie odor, but I could see someone had closed up their dog in the bathroom because there were scratches on the doors door a gouge on the wall. The wallpaper was peeling off the wall by the AC unit, and wrinkling on one of the walls. Breakfast was typical scrambled eggs and sausage Pattie’s, and make your own waffles. Nothing outstanding, just your typical inexpensive hotel.

  Nice room & friendly, helpful staff

  I asked to be away from other occupied rooms since my dog alerts me to any noise. We were placed at the end of the hall, right next to the double door exit to the dog walking area. This was a very busy area, so I didn't sleep well due to the doors slamming & lots of talking in the hall. The outer door card key entry was broken, so when it was locked after dark, we had to walk all the way to the front desk to get help getting back into the hotel. The dog walk area was very hilly with a huge drop off into a crevasse! If a dog was off leash it could easily plummet off the edge! It's not safe for humans either. One slip on wet grass could be a disaster! The hot breakfast was good though they put cheese in the eggs, which I couldn't see & I'm allergic to it. It's a challenge to find amongst the other hotels & restaurants, but we managed with GPS to find it. Though it says it's near the airport, I didn't hear any aircraft noise.

  Clean pet area

  The plus means a lot. The hotel is about 5 miles from the heart of town, in the area of a shopping mall. The facilities were all spotless - even the dog relief area.

  Not a "Plus"

  The front desk staff was friendly, but maintenance was lacking. Interior a bit dingy, no batteries in tv clicker, erratic and virtually unusable internet, toilet "iffy." Adequate areas to walk a dog, poop bag dispenser empty -- a problem if you forget your own!

  Pleasant stay

  Nice staff, first floor room, located near an exit for easy walks. Room was pretty worn, not terrible, but also not the nicest pet friendly room we have had. Space was clean and quiet. Would stay here again.

  I think there were as many dog guests as people guests - all admiring each other. Dated rooms but clean. Tesla destination chargers were an unexpected bonus and there are lots of restaurants nearby.

  Could not ask for much more

  Reservation was easy to make through BringFido. Staff at the hotel could not have been any more friendly or helpful. Room was on the first floor and offered us all we needed for a one night stay. Small grassy areas nearby and a huge field across the street gave us all the space to air the dog that we could hope for. An easy “5 bone” rating.

  Gross Best Western

  The Best Western in Valley View Roanoke VA was terrible (we have a dog). Our room smelled awful, the carpet was wet and it was the worst so called pet room we’ve ever stayed in. The woman behind the desk was really sick and coughing with no mask on.

  Run-down, poor customer service

  Front desk person was busy yelling at another customer when I came in and asked me to come back to. check in later. Other staff was taking smoke breaks with customers in front of main entrance.. Hotel is in need of an update. Phone was broken in my room. Clientele was a bit shady (run-down cars etc...)
  To be fair, the front desk people did then waive my pet fee proactively after my phone was broken (realizing I was the same person who got turned away from checkin).

  Convenient and clean

  Typical chain motel -- nothing special, but clean. Mini-fridge and microwave, comfortable beds, average bathroom. Room was little tight for a crate and doggo to move around, but it worked fine for one night.

  Our room was at the far end of the ground floor and we were able to use a back door (with keycard access) to park nearby and avoid walking through the lobby, which was convenient. However, the area was filthy with overflowing garbage and people standing around smoking. Minor inconvenience but less than pleasant.

  Decent breakfast and nice staff, but room smelled like they overused freshener to hide a musty smell. Bathroom wasn’t very clean and looked like there was water damage around shower with wallpaper peeling.

  Easy Highway Access

  Stopped Memorial Day weekend with 3 kids and a 70 lb lab. We had a first floor room with easy access to the side door where there were clean up bags. My dog will not do any business on a leash so we walked across the street to the field. The first floor access to the breakfast area was nice as well. It’s a small area and pretty crowded. Our room was clean and spacious enough for a dog bed, pack n play and our luggage.
