Excellent!

Great location off highway with many food places nearby. Hotel staff friendly & helpful. Hotel very clean & breakfast was fresh, clean & well stocked. We used the convenient laundry room & indoor pool.

Not worth the money

Front desk staff didn’t even say hello before asking name (also didn’t request ID). Room light switches didn’t work, refrigerator turned off & when we pulled it out to plug it in, top was covered with thick dust/dirt. Shower stall walls were torn & peeling vinyl coat. Bed was comfortable but thin walls allowed noise from neighbor & 2 nd floor guests through. Location was easy off highway & fast food restaurants nearby.

Great hotel!

Beautiful large, clean room with private balcony and ocean view. Quiet hotel (good soundproof walls). Leashed dogs welcome to walk on beach & grounds. Many local restaurants offer outside seating for people with dogs too.

Very dog friendly!

Fresh water bowl served to our pup on patio as soon as we were seated. Friendly staff, fun atmosphere & good bar food. We will definitely return.

Okay

Room on 1st floor next to outside exit that was never locked. Tile floor was old so probably clean, just worn. Great location off 95 and a few fast food places nearby. Unfortunately, guests above us were so noisy until midnight that our sleep was bothered after a long day traveling. Breakfast was okay. Staff was very nice.

Home away from Home!

Everything was neat & clean, from the well cared for grounds, the lobby, pool, & hallways to the King suite which was spacious & bright. (The TV remote was even sealed in plastic with a Sonesta sticker! I always bring a baggie when traveling for hotel remotes.) We prefer fresh air instead of air conditioning so it was nice to open screened sliding glass door on 2nd floor. Hotel was full during our stay yet it was quiet.

A lot of grassy, wooded areas in neighborhood to walk dog. Breakfast was nice option too though it starts at 7am so that’s a long time to wait for morning coffee for some of us early birds. (We later discovered Target, Aldi, Shop Rite & Dunkin a few blocks away.). The suite had full kitchen including full size refrigerator with freezer & dishwasher. We would definitely stay here again and look for Sonesta Suites when traveling.

Old Style

Very nice inn, furnished with antique style furniture but very clean & comfortable 4 poster bed. Mostly quiet except for very squeaky old floors above us. Quiet neighborhood to walk dog with Starbucks & Naples Pizza across the street. No refrigerator or microwave in room. Convenient location for us visiting family. Pricey but comparable to nearby hotels.

Started with a doggie water dish outside.

We were walking downtown Sarasota on a hot, sunny day, when our dog helped herself to water in doggie bowl outside Gelato-go. So we stopped to have a cold treat too. While deciding who would go in to order & who would stay outside with the dog, the store clerk invited both of us in WITH our dog. We ordered our favorite chocolate dessert & the clerk offered a cup of broken cone pieces for our dog. As we headed back outside to sit, our clerk came out to spray & wipe down our table first. Our treats were delicious, the store very clean & we ALL felt so welcome!

Dog Friendly Resort

Located on the beach. Nice room, clean, safe area. We saw so many dogs, especially big dogs. We jokingly said this was a dog hotel where humans were allowed. All responsible dog owners. No issues with barking or unleashed pets. Balcony was great.

Fun!

Celebrated a friend’s 70th birthday here and owner welcomed our dog to sit with us “spectators.” it was a very hot day but our doggie enjoyed the cool air conditioning inside with friendly owner even offering water dish for dog. A lot of fun and laughs!

Convenient - Friendly Staff

Very dog friendly as we saw many there. Location convenient to drive to downtown, causeway, Lido Beach. Room was worn, stained carpet, couch and spill not cleaned off dresser drawers. Bed and bath seemed clean though. Stayed 4 days and refused housekeeping so the dog wasn’t disturbed. Staff was friendly, breakfast was okay, housekeepers always seemed to be working so hard but I think it’s difficult to make something old/worn sparkling clean and welcoming to guests.

Fun - Great Food!

Outdoor seating on busy sidewalk perfect for people/dog watching. It was a hot sunny day and they brought out big bowl of ice water for our Lab without us asking. Service “Josh” was great and food was really good. Fun, interesting place with garage theme throughout including restroom sinks (tires)! :)

Great Food/Dog friendly Patio!

We almost overlooked this place to get pizza since it looks like it’s a gas station but I trusted the Bring Fido app and found it. The food was so good and the patio was perfect for us and our dog. There was another couple out there with their dog too enjoying a beer with their pizza. Parking was a little challenging but worth the effort. Service was as good as the food!

Good location but not clean.

Easy off highway. Clerk was pleasant and they even give you a roll of poop bags as a welcome. Very old/worn and dirty room. Shower had used bar of soap and hair in drain. We slept in our clothes on top of our own blanket and wore flip flops in shower.
