  Small area

  There is an off leash beach area for dogs. It is small. Lots of dogs running around with owners not paying attention to them. Typical dog park situation. There’s no trails or other dog area attractions. You can walk them on the sidewalk along the marina - but it’s not any more exciting than any other part of town.

  Small but scenic

  This is a decent place to spend an hour or two with your dog. The overall size of the park is small & can fill up fast with dogs on weekends. Weekdays are better. In low tide, there are barnacles that can hurt you pup's paws. On higher tide, the beach is a mix of sand & rock.
  You get a wide panoramic view of the pudget sound & can watch the ferries & barges pass. It faces the sunset.

  My dogs loved it!

  My dogs loved this place. First you drive up and enter in through 2 fence gate system. Then your in the dog park where if you don't want to go down to the beach area, you don't have to. I read some poor reviews below, and was a little skeptical at first. However, don't read other people's bad reviews and be put off by them. Go and experience the place for yourself and form your own opinion. Again, if you don't want your dog walking on barnacles... don't walk down to beach!

  in my experience, the tide was out and coming in. There were rocks and barcnales to walk over, but my dogs and I did just fine. There were a lot a people and dogs out and about. All friendly and well-mannered. Once we hit the sandy part of the beach, my dogs let loose. They love the ocean, running in the surf, chasing sticks and rocks, smelling and rolling in gross slimy stuff, and just being dogs. While walking, i found lots of sealife, crabs, shells, and starfish. This was a great experience. My dogs can't wait to go back.

  Not Great

  The sandy area is really minimal, the majority of the beach is tidal rock full of barnacles. To add to the mix theres been some type of kelp/seaweed explosion so everything has been coated with slime and sand fleas. I've followed the tide tables and been at low, mid, and hi tide. We had 1 really awesome day in May - but its been less than great every other time since ( 6 times now June thru end of August) I'm not interested in coming back. Maybe it gets better in winter months ?

  This beach needs a good dredging to make it safe to even walk around, let alone have your dog running around. Hi tide is good if your dog is a swimmer, otherwise you'll have a lot of ripped paw pads and cuts on your dogs feet.

  There is a long sand/ pea gravel accessway to get to the beach & then just paved parking nearby, so days it got in the hi 80's and 90's actually burned my dogs feet, I had to carry her from the beach to the car.

  Pretty good mix of people, can't say I had any real issues other than people who bring their large breed puppies & then don't control them.
  Sometimes people think they have "puppies", but large breed "pup" can be wild - and actually hurt small dogs, such as mine.

  I'm not certain if the 8x10 fenced box was supposed to be the small dog area, It had broken glass and burning hot pea gravel and no clear means of access (?)

  incredible park

  This is a beautiful location along the Puget Sound North of Seattle. A fun place for your dog to swim and play off leash. A water hose for fresh water or to rinse you dog off prior to depart in the car. Friendly and mindful dog owners. This is a dream location for my dog to play and feel good outdoors.

  Has Everything!

  Lots of parking, port-a-potties, trash cans, complimentary poop bags, loads of ball-fetching space, and a long shoreline! This place is the BEST! Loads of friendly regulars. This beach is great anytime, but really awesome at low, low tide. The water shallows out so even 10 feet out from the shore it's still only 6-10" deep!

  I took my water loving Golden to this park so we could throw the ball and frolic in the water. This beach was not paw friendly. It was all jagged rocks with barnacles on them. The rocks cut up my poor little guy’s feet. We had to take him to the vet to get antibiotics incase of infection. It took him a week to recover and be comfortable walking again. I would not recommend this area.

  Great place to swim

  This park is right on the puget sound and allows for the dogs to swim. There is also a large open area for chasing balls and sticks. This place is busy, I have never been there when there has been less then 20 other dogs. There is a very small fully fenced shy/small dog area within the larger area. It is adjacent to the park and marina, both require leashes, so it makes for a good overall family experience. The park is also right next to the train tracks, so keep an eye on your children and it can get loud when a train comes through. There is also a dog friendly brewery (American Brewing Company) a short walk from the OLA.

  Tried a different dog park today. Pup took to the water like he has been in it is whole life. Not fully fenced and can be challenging to know right where the off leash area ends. May go back.

  Edmonds dog park

  Our dogs love it! beautiful view. Nice people and dogs. Agility equipment too!
