We found this dog park on Google as we were traveling through Bakersfield on our way home to Sacramento. We stayed at the Marriott Residence Inn close by with our Golden Retriever and loved that too! Centennial dog park was grassy and designed well for ball tossing. Be sure to bring your own water and bowl. Highly recommend this dog park!
- AlyceMore than a year agoGreat first experience
Took my 9 mo. old golden retriever puppy here as a first time dog park outing and we had a wonderful time. The park itself is nice, quiet, and spacious; however, there was some trash (broken toys and other debris) laying around. If your dog likes to eat random stuff like mine, stick close by and keep an eye on them. Midmorning was a great time to go since there were only a couple other people+dogs there but it got fuller towards lunchtime. I didn't see any place for dogs to get water, so make sure to bring your own. Overall, great first experience and I can't wait to take her back.
- JrMore than a year agodisappointing
I had hoped for something a little nicer since I know this to be a fairly good part of town and a safe park where I used to lunch. I gave it 3 bones because it was a Sunday @ noon and one could assume had not been cleaned recently. The dog area was dirty, full of trash and feces. Disappointing that some dog owners are so irresponsible.

Excellent, clean, wide own save for our vizslas to run.

Not as big and crowded as Kroll, but still very nice. Good park for shy dogs who do not like to get overwhelmed at the gate.
