- NKHMore than a year agoGreat experience!
Took my daughter and 2 dogs on the trail at Lake Craig. Enjoyable hike with plenty of educational lessons for my daughter to take back to school: beaver activity, deer tracks, reading topography and conditions based on flora, erosion, etc. The dogs enjoyed the shaded relief from the sun and we all loved the view of the lake; very peaceful. 4 bones review because the map given at entry was useless to us. We wanted to go to Lake Johnson but never saw any signs for it except when we took a wrong turn and passed a road called Lake Johnson road as we were leaving. ????
- TinaMore than a year agoGreat place for Camping, Hiking, Swimming
Dogs are allowed on all of Crofts 20 trails, but if your dogs are quiet with horses, the equestrian trails are the best. Camping is fantastic here & the showers are clean. Dogs seem to be allowed everywhere. Squirrels, birds & other temptations abound so there are signs (and rangers to enforce) no annoying wildlife or other guests. Leashes are technically required everywhere, but if you have strict voice command, well... the trail system is extensive and there are places to access the lakes that you could play swim fetch away from all other guests. $17 to camp. The area is beautiful.
