    Bad for training

If you plan to work out behaviour issues (or socialize) with your dog, avoid going here. There is a woman with a red heeler (Australian Cattle dog) that aggressively herds dogs causing issues. While she makes no attempts to correct her dog, she will be sure to tell you how you are wrong if you (rightfully) try to correct yours. This is not a case of a Heeler being a heeler, this is a case of irresponsible dog ownership leading to misrepresentation of an already misunderstood breed. If your dog has issues with aggressive dogs or growling, AVOID THIS PARK.
She seems to be there between 1:00pm - 4:00pm, maybe try outside these hours.

    First visit, mixed

Visited March 17 2014 - no obvious signage as to how to get to the off leash area, but I did find one spot. There was no one there so I did walk along the paths without having my dogs on leash, but the signage read that dogs were supposed to be leashed. Perhaps someone can write as to where dogs can go on the paths without a leash? Great parking, and as the small ski hill was not running during the week, we were able to enjoy the huge park without bothering others.

    Love this dog park

Nice big fenced in dog park in North York. Free parking right before the park (entrance off Shepard Ave., just East of Bathurst on the South side).

    Fabulous dog park!

A great new (Fall '11) off-leash dog park with great owners and dogs. There are two defined areas, with picnic tables and benches both inside and in the vicinity of the park. All three entrances are double gated and there are plenty of recycling and garbage bins. Parking is free and off Don River Blvd. There is also a walking path that leads to the newly developed golf course.

There are a few retired racing greyhounds that visit this park who wear muzzles for their breed-specific reasons. The vast majority of owners have no issue and after a bit of education, enjoy watching these beautiful pups run.
