    Sketchy Dog Park

I really wanted to like this park because it has agility obstacles set up and it’s close to home. Buuuut I do not feel safe visiting this park.

Good In A Pinch, If You Need To Get Out Of The House

We live down Hwy 14, so this little park is very convenient. Like the other reviews say, it’s not the nicest dog park, but my dogs still had fun playing on the equipment and sniffing stuff. I wouldn’t let my dogs drink from the public bowls, so bring your own water. Other reviews mention people sitting in their cars in the parking lot

    Oops!

Left a review that was meant for pavilion dog park in Taylors, NOT this park. We LOVE this one.

There is a huge amount of flat space, people generally keep an eye on their dogs. There’s a sandy area the dogs can dig in and tennis balls everywhere.

We take the dogs down to the water after they play for a bit to really get their energy out.

The only reason I docked a star is because the place does smell, it’s next to a cleaning plant and we don’t trust the dogs drinking water. Other dogs seem to be fine with it, but our one dog especially gets an upset stomach.

    Not Terrible, Not Great

Trails were overgrown/not recently maintained, which was sad since that was the main reason we came here. We have a GSD and typically avoid dog parks, but we needed to get out of the house for a bit, so it was nice that we ended up being the only ones in the dog park part of the park once we got over
there. Dog park has lots of space and some good shade to sit in, separate sections for small and large dogs, but it seems dirty, overall. People who go there don’t appear to pick up after their dogs or empty the water dishes they use, leaving bowls to collect bacteria and mosquitos. No other dogs to play with and only so much sniffing to do in the heat and humidity before the pup was ready to go back home.

Got back to the parking lot to see a lot of individuals in their cars, just hanging out (maybe on lunch breaks?). Kind of weird.

I’ll give props to Gvl Rec on generally keeping their parks clean and well-maintained, so I’m chalking how dirty this place was up (there was trash everywhere I looked) to the recent shutdown, and also to entitled jerks not cleaning up their own trash when they visit.

We’ll go back some other time to give it another chance, since it’s close to where we live.

    Nice large park

I like that this park is outside of the city a bit as that means it's typically quieter. I've met nothing but very nice people here. And with ample room for the dogs to run as well as a large sandpit to dig in, my dogs always have a great time. There are also some walking trails near the water and remnants of an old mill just outside the park to explore. Worth the drive from downtown for sure!

    Awful Dog Park

Couldn’t find the bathrooms. There were many adult men sitting in cars in the parking lot. Pet owners did not pick up after their pets. Pet owners were clueless. One dog had his jaws around my dog’s throat. The owner said he wouldn’t hurt my dog, he was going after my dog’s harness. As most pet owners know, the harness isn’t around the neck. Will never go back.

    Great Spot To Play

Came here today and discovered a nice quiet play area! Plenty of room to run along with high enough fences to keep jumpers at bay! There’s some shade for these hot S.C. days and plenty of water and even a plastic play pool to splash about in! Pretty easy to get to with nice parking area.

    Nice location

The sand run was nice for my fluffy pup - brushes off much more easily than leaves! I didn't love the nuts (pecans, walnuts?) all over the ground, but trees are better than no trees. Small dog area had box-like features for dogs to jump on/run between/etc. - would be nice to have something similar in the large dog area.

    Great Park buuuut BEWARE!!!

This is a great park! Plenty of space for the dogs to run. Doggy pools in the summer. Plenty to dogs to play with all times of the day (typically). AND awesome people! (well 98.5 of them)

BUUUUUT beware of thieves (broken car windows-police response time 20 min)! Multiple accounts of broken windows in the parking lot here, so don't leave anything valuable in the car.

ALSO, beware there is a lady here in Greenville that has tried to fraudulently sue folks specifically at dog parks. As a result she has been banned from ALL dog parks. Just be careful out there folks and have fun!

    Great owners, dogs, & park

We stopped by on our way from VA to GA and glad we did. Easy from the highway, friendly owners, great park with pools, a large sandpit, and plenty of room to run and play.

    Nice park

Stopped here on a roadtrip. Nice, clean park, easy to get to off the highway, clean and green. Pups were happy.

    FUN!

We've been taking our pups here since they were 2 months old. We loved the seperation between big dogs and little dogs, though there isn't much to do in the small dog area. There are kiddie pools provided in the large dog area, which is a great way for your pup to cool down, and get hydrated! Lots of room to run around. Also, everyone alwasy behaves, and picks up their dogs mess.

    Puppy Power!

My high engery dog loves this park. There is ample room for her to play chase and even a sandpit to make things a little more interesting. It can be a bit smelly because it's next to the water purification system but the dogs don't mind, so neither should the owners.

Plenty of parking. Separate small & large dog areas. Plenty of grass, sand area, & a hurdle for dogs play. Take water jugs cause fountain was not working! All in all...a nice dog park!
