    Perfect after Labor Day!

a sweeet, hidden gem type beach to share with your dog. calm water, you can walk out pretty far into. great secluded place, worth the effort to get to (SUV/4WD suggested).

    No Dogs Allowed

My husband and I brought our mini dachshund to this beach last year at the same time and had the greatest day. The beach is so beautiful with beautiful sand and large boulders... So of course we made the hour and a half trip down again today. As we start driving in we see 'No Dogs' signs...? We drive in and park. A ranger came out and asked if I had seen the signs (of course but we've been here before!) and apparently no dogs are allowed "right now" because there are nesting birds. This would have been great to know before we took the day off from work and drove down. It isn't on their website or mentioned anywhere. Thanks for ruining my day.

    Best Spot on the Cape!

What a phenomenal spot! I ran into some locals with their dog while I was there who said that it was "the most beautiful place on the Cape." It's so peaceful! I went the day after Labor Day and there was hardly anyone there. Stay for low tide and you can walk allllllllll the way out, watching people collect oysters on your way. My pup had a great time! Also: free parking!

beautiful beach and friendly people and dogs!!

We had a great day here!! People were very friendly and there were lots of dogs. Most people had their dogs on leashes. It's a big beautiful beach with wooded walking paths nearby. We will definitely be going back!

    didnt want to leave

me and hubby were looking for a beach to take our princess with us.shes been so down since losing her life partner.when we got to the beach ,we park in the first parking lot by the cemetery which is a ways from the beach. we walked and discovered we could have parked closer . after that long walk it was so worth it. my baby was sooo happy and enjoying herself tremendously . there were other dogs there as well enjoying the beach. you could park on the sand if you have a permit otherwise I wouldn't do so.fines are very pricey.be careful with your pooch if walking thru the wooded areas there are ticks .. its private and peaceful.im so glad I found this beach.. it is my favorite spot for my babygirl for now on.. I would only recommend parking close to beach if u have a suv or 4x4 road have deep potholes ut once u make it best lot is on the left side of beach.. the right side u have to hike a lil ... but great beach for pooch's :)
