Pawlings Farm
Pawlings Farm is a neat little trail area that is part of the Valley Forge National Historic Park in Pennsylvania. With many different trails spanning through the area, Valley Forge is a great place to walk with Fido. In Particular, the Pawlings Farm trails border parallel to the Schuykill River Trail (which also is in the National Park in this instance) and can lead to several other trailheads. Crowds may vary by time of year and day, but personal experience has shown that it is generally a light load, making it an ideal walking area for pups that don't like large crowds. There's plenty of woods, so bring some bug spray for both you and your furry buddy. Be careful, as there are some instances of Poison Ivy a few feet from the trails, as the park rangers only maintain the areas immediately affecting the trails themselves and are not responsible for anything happening outside of designated walking trails. The trail heads from Pawling's Farm often have deer in the area, as well as many other sorts of forest wildlife. If your dog tends to chase the wildlife, keep them on a leash to keep from a wild pup chase.
