    Clark Reservation

    Clark Reservation State Park is a geologic wonder of the last ice age and a botanist's paradise. The park's natural features include rugged cliffs and rocky outcrops, woodland and meadow, a wetland and a glacial plunge basin lake in which the surface waters and bottom waters do not mix. Fishermen can catch pickerel, bullheads and sunfish; while birdwatchers may observe cedar waxwings, kingfishers and woodpeckers. Guided nature walks leave from the Nature Center building, which also offers numerous exibits. Hikers may choose from five trails, including the cliff trail, which has a ledge overlook 175 feet above the water. Pet Guidelines: Household pets only; caged or on a leash not more than 6 feet.       Great hike, my dog loved it!

      beautiful hiking trails, not too strenuous or dangerous for kids or dogs, highly recommend!

      A few places offer dog bags and trash, some trails are good for any dog, but some are def for the more athletic dog. Unfourtunantly many ppl I encountered had their dog off a leash once they hit the trails. This obviously can be a problem for other owners with dogs that are leashed. I did encounter a reactive dog but the owner stepped off the path to let us by and had control of the dog which was nice to see. Reactive dogs need exercise too after all.

      Strikingly beautiful

      Scenic location for hiking with your well behaved leashed dog. Trails are steep, and challenging with loose gravel prevalent. many scenic views include serious drop offs. Not the place for Fido to chase squirrels.
