  Unique experience!

  Took our 60 lb standard poodle and rented him his own tube. He was overwhelmed at first but settled down after about 15 mins and layed in the tube. There were several non aggressive rapids, nothing we were at risk of tipping over from, some small waterfall drops that I steadied his tube for and we were also strapped together. I put ruffwear boots on him in case we had to walk on the riverbed at all. The amount of people fishing and fishing line and hooks we seen on trees and wrapped around stuff was enough to convince me he didn't need a hook in his paw today. We did the 2 hour trip, but I think the 1 hour would have been plenty. Overall great experience and I think if he could have sat with me if there was a tube big enough it would have been way more relaxing for him. Would not recommend for a highly anxious or hyper dog. And make sure you trim and file their nails so they don't puncture the tubes!

  Saw several dogs

  my pup is afraid of the water but we saw several pups riding the tubes with owners and in there own tube, one dog stood on the tube the whole way down! there is no hole in the middle of the tube, I’d recommend bringing some towels

  So much fun!

  So glad we got to bring our Bella girl on this trip. Since she's around 60lbs we got her her very own tube. She done great for her first time! I would have gotten a picture of her but I left my phone in the vehicle in fear of it getting wet. She had to ride on the bus with us to the drop off point and she sat right beside me in the seat. The staff was super friendly and we can't wait to do it again!

  Fur-family Fun!

  Thank you Cool River Tubing for allowing well behaved pets on leashes. Our pup accompanied us in the gift shop and on the bus too. We got a tube just for him, but he preferred to sit on mama's lap! Saw 5-6 other dogs during our river trip.

  A new adventure for your pup!

  Floating down the river with Cool River Tubing is an inexpensive way to have a new experience with your pup. The facilities are clean and accommodating although it can be very crowded because the building where you purchase tickets, rent lockers and change in the dressing rooms is up some stairs and quite small (I went alone with my dog). The river was cool, clean and shady. Hang on tight to your pup as you go over small rapids and be sure to have fresh water handy at the end. Visited July 2019.

  A fun, unique thing to do with your dog!

  I had no hang-ups with my dog through the process of purchasing or riding the bus to the drop off zone. You can get them their own tube or have them ride with you in yours. My dog loves water and had a blast! I recommend a doggie life jacket or harness with a handle in case your pup takes a tumble on one of the dips.

  Tubing with Dachsunds in Helen, GA

  We had a great experience with Cool River Tubing in Helen, GA, the staff was friendly, the facility is top notch, and the process was very efficient! Our pups loved it and were welcome. We rented an extra (child's size) raft but they preferred to ride with us on our tubes (which have bottoms). The river is very shallow, very clear and the water is not too fast-moving and we all had a great time. **Consider purchasing a "keepsake" pushing pole if water levels are low!

  Great fun

  If you have a dog that likes water and doesn't mind lots of people around, then you need to take her/him tubing. We've taken our Aussie twice and she would go everyday if she could. Lots of fun.
