    Great hiking to private beach!

Fabulous hike. About 2 miles in and out. We did not go to the lighthouse, but at the end of the path we walked over an extra hill and voila! Found a small private sandy cove! Had to keep the pup on a leash so she wouldn’t swim over to the protected area, so bring a long lead. So lovely. FYI re parking: this is a small unmarked lot between Herring Cove beach and Race Point Beach. As you head to Race Point, it’s a small road on the left with about 6 parking spots.

    Fly like the wind

Dogs had a fantastic time running on this beach during off leash hours. Low tide was their favorite time. In and out of the water chasing birds.
