    Aggressive dogs

This park is the only free park that’s closest to me. a lot of the owners that go here are not friendly and people will frequently bring their aggressive dogs here. the big dog park is always full and the little dog park is typically empty. the little dog park also has a weird water pump that’s difficult to use and no hose attachment like the big dog park has. The little dogs don’t get half the amount of shade that the big dogs do and don’t have nearly half the same amount of trees either. Only pros to this park are that it’s big and doesn’t cost anything to enter.

    Positive experience

I recently brought my small to medium dog to the park. There were communal water bowls for the dogs, seating for owners, some shade. I thought it was very nice.

    So-so park

Some owners here are racist & I've experienced it personally. Some would not allow me to touch their dog and got very nasty with me when their dogs came up to greet me. I did not let that stop me from coming. But, I've also witnessed about 3-4 vicious dog fights break out in the big dog park. Just be cautious & alert when taking your dog here. Some owners are just clueless and will also bring dogs in heat to the park. The park is covered in wood chips, so just be aware of that. A lot of owners there also do not pay attention & are glued to their phones & do not pick up their dogs' feces... This is probably the best dog park around in the area but it could be a lot better. I probably won't be returning soon, as my Jack Russell got attacked by two pit bulls today.

Town of Oyster Bay Dog Park

This is a new park with 2 sections, one for small dogs and one for big dogs like me. The surface is wood chips, with benches, and picnic tables under a gazebo. There is a play fire hydrant and water fountains to drink from. I gave it 4 bones, if the surface was grass and there were more structures to play on, I would give it 5 bones.
