The Dog Beach area opens up on to Beck Lake and has a rock "ramp" for dogs to get out if they can't get up onto the shore easily.
The General Play area at Beck Bark Park in Cody has a couple of shade trees and benches on which to sit. The double-gate bull pen keeps dogs from escaping. Very small dogs can crawl under the fence between the general play and dog beach areas, so keep an eye on your little ones in this area.
Lots of locals come here to play fetch with their dogs. Usually it is busiest from about 4 pm to 6 pm on week days. The regulars are generally pretty good about controlling their dogs, and I have yet to see a serious fight.
The small dog area is nice for both small and elderly dogs. There are not as many benches or shade trees, but unlike other dog parks I have been to where the small dog area is tiny, this is a huge space with loads of open room for the little guys to run, bushes and trees to sniff, and a long common fence with the General Play area so you can chat with people in the other section while still having a good view of your dog.
The edge of the water has a pretty sharp drop-off that some older dogs have trouble with when trying to climb onto shore. They graded a section and put down rocks to create a kind of ramp, but the rocks are really uneven for dogs with bad arthritis. Just know you may have to help your dog out of the water if their legs are weak. The great thing about the sharp bank is it makes for a perfect launching pad for water retrieving.
This is a natural grass area, and in Wyoming that means tall prairie grass in the summer and a lot of dirt in the winter. They do cut the grass a couple of times in the summer, but mostly it is left in its natural state with both the good and bad that come along with that. The more it has been used, the less dense the grass has become, but in early summer, expect to have pretty tall, thick grass, especially near the lake.
we now live in Winthrop Iowa we sure do miss the dog park though

Description

This is a great park with 3 completely fenced areas. General area, mall dog area, and a "dog beach" that is bordered on one side by the lake for dogs to swim. There is seating and a couple of shade trees but no water other than the lake. You have to park up on the road and walk down a path.

    Great park!

Good-sized fenced areas for both small and large dogs to play off-leash, also open swimming beach for water dogs, and a nice walking path for leashed dogs around the lake with mountain views. Super way to start the day!

    Great!

This is a great dog park! It has 3 areas, one for small, one for large, and one that fronts on Beck Lake where dogs can get in the water.

The areas are all large, there's shade and benches to sit on and doggie bags available.

We visited here for a few days and took our dog down to the dog park every day! He had great fun playing with the other dogs and running around in the area.

    Beck Bark Park

This dog park is wonderful, but the less than convenient parking and lack of a water fountain are what lead me to knock it down one bone. You have to park up on the road and walk down a gravel path. My elderly dog has a hard time with the gravel and grade of the hill, but once we get into the park it is great. There are 3 sections and people are really good about picking up after their dogs. Most of us regulars usually bring in a few extra bags and pick up "orphan poop" that we find. The dog beach is closed in the winter when the lake is iced over, usually about mid November to mid March. The small dog area is huge as is the general play area, and people are very good about controlling their dogs for the most part. In all the time I have been going, I have not seen a serious fight, but I have heard of a couple of issues from others so do be vigilant. There is no water fountain or human "facilities", but your dog can get a drink of water from the lake in a pinch. If you bring a bowl and water, be prepared to be very popular with all of the dogs.
