  Very nice!

  It rained the night before apparently, but I could hose my dog off at the entrance. Lots of room, several friendly dogs and people. Thumbs up!

  Great Dog Park

  A nice shady dog park with lots of room to run around and plenty of obstacle. There are separate areas for small and large breeds, and then another area with a swimming pond. Fairly well maintained. Any dogs that weren’t playing nice left immediately,

  Great Park, My Pup Loves It

  We were visiting Oklahoma from Pennsylvania and came across this gem! Where we are from, there aren't any free-admittance dog parks that don't require membership so we were concerned about finding a good place to run around. But this dog park is awesome! It's huge, so my dog can get away from other dogs if they make her uncomfortable. She loved the pool that she could splash in and run around. There are a number of permanent mud puddles, but it honestly just adds to the fun the dogs have and there is a hose at the exit gate that you can wash your pup down with! Some people don't pick up after their pets, which is annoying, but that happens at any dog park!

  My Dog got deathly sick

  I have enjoyed the park in Midwest City until this year and the pool hasn't been cleaned in over a month. I had to take my dog to the emergency vet after getting in the water about 3 weeks ago. Cost was $1100+ because of how sick he was. If it can't be cleaned on a regular basis then please drain it. I know my dog wasn't the only one that got sick. It would help to just keep it drained if it can't be cleaned at least 2 times a week. Last year was great and the pool was cleaned 3 times a week it was really nice

  Great park but......

  This park is very nice...muddy but that's part of being OUTSIDE ! Most dogs are great but owners who brought aggressive dogs that the could not manage, ruin the fun for all of us. Please get a handle on this. There were 3gights, one drawing blood in a span of 40 minutes. When one takes an aggressive animal where there are children and other animals, perhaps you should consider training for both you and your dog !!!

  A nice place for the 4legged members in our lives!

  My children and I have taken our 2 dogs here and they have both loved it. My little one runs all over and my big one stays near me the whole time... She isn't used to other dogs so she doesn't know how to deal with them, but she is learning and doing well.

  I'm so glad we have a nice park made for them to run and have fun in.

  Oklahoma City General Pets Examiner

  On Monday, July 16, 2012, the 'Fred Quinn Happy Tails Dog Park' officially opened at 6:00 p.m. in Midwest City, Oklahoma. The park was named after Fred Quinn, a long-time resident of Midwest City, an avid dog-lover, and owner of Quinn & Associates Architectural Company. Mr. Quinn designed approximately 90% of the City's most prominent facilities, and he worked with the City's Dog Park Committee to design a modern-day dog park, including a doggie pool which was a splashing success.

  The opening ceremony began with the introduction of numerous City officials and various staff members affiliated with the creation, design, building and completion of the park. The official sign was unveiled and the ceremonial ribbon was cut by Mr. Quinn himself. Then, the dog owners entered the dog park and turned loose their dogs to the tune of 'Who Let the Dogs Out'.

  This new dog park features separate fenced areas for small and large dogs, plenty of trees for shade, benches for the dog owners to sit and observe their dogs, water faucets in each dog area, hills with tunnels for the dogs to run over and under, and dispensers for doggy poop bags and waste disposal containers. The large dog area has plenty of wide open spaces for those dogs who love to socialize, run and chase each other.

  The most unique and exciting amenity (for both dogs and their owners) is the doggie pool which is located in a separate fenced area for dogs of all sizes.

  The Fred Quinn Happy Tails Dog Park is located at Reno Avenue and Morris McGee Drive in Midwest City, OK.It is located within the Joe B. Barnes Regional Park which has an official address of 8700 East Reno Avenue, Midwest City, Oklahoma 73110. Bring your dog(s) and check it out. There is something for everybody!

  ADDENDUM: There is one somewhat annoying problem with this dog park: it has a drainage problem which causes sections of the park to constantly be muddy regardless of whether or not there has been any recent rain. Therefore, it is recommended that dog owners wear old shoes or a pair of boots that they don't mind getting covered in mud.
