    Good Park

Nice dog park convenient to I10. Poop bags provided, plenty of trash cans available, and water for dogs. Big wide open grassy field. Separate areas for small dogs and big dogs. Only downside was quite a bit of dog poo on the ground.

    Potential

took me several drives by to find the dog park. Not next to nor by a road. parking is several yards away from dog entrance. have doggie bags but where are trash containers? not a single tree in the park just flat grassy grounds (my boy didn’t like not having trees to spray on). there are several seating areas some with covers. it’s ok from scale of 1 as really bad to 5 for super nice. I’d give it a 2.

    Keep Driving...

This dog park is right off I-10, so it’s convenient if you’re on a road trip (take the 1st entrance to the Park, right before large parking lot), but that’s the best thing going for it. I’m sure it’s a nice place to run when it’s not a giant mud puddle. Unfortunately, there were aggressive dogs present (Not sure if one of their females was in heat, but all the large males were acting unhinged) but it was too sketchy for our tastes, so we decided to cut our dogs visit short as soon as they finished their business. Next time, we’ll find another spot. Neighborhood is run down, but we weren’t there long.

    Not great

Unfortunately, when we tried to go at noon on a Monday, the gate was locked. Even had it been unlocked, they still have a sign saying pets need to be leashed. Sketchy neighborhood.

    Wide open field

This is a nice wide open field with plenty of room to run and a well thought out water hose on a concrete pad with a floor drain that can be used to hose down a muddy dog. The place was deserted while we were there, but it was raining, and had been for several days. Because of the rain, it was quite soggy. I'm sure that once it dries up, it'd be a nice open field.

    Lady

Traveling from Florida to south Texas with five dogs is no easy task. We were thrilled to find this dog park conveniently located to I-10. We stopped on both legs of our journey to let pups stretch their legs. While meeting some nice and friendly folks, I give this park only four bones because of a few of the visitors that i wasn't the most comfortable with, I.e children chasing and trying to pick up my small dogs without asking permission or parental supervision, an older gentleman with two chihuahuas on leashes the whole time that quite clearly did not wish his dogs to interact with other dogs (why bring them inside a dog park at all?) and most disturbing, a family with three sickly puppies too young to have received all of their vaccines and very distended bellies suggesting they were full of worms. (We left when they arrived, poor little pups). The park itself was a very nice and large facility, with two sets of double gates, fresh water, trash receptacles, covered picnic areas and plenty of thick grassy space. I suggest it for anyone traveling along I-10 through Louisiana with dogs. It made our travels much easier and far more enjoyable for our furry kids.

    Open and good water

A little tough to find but a nice dog park. Grass was mowed and nice. No bare dirt spots like some dog parks that get all dusty/muddy. My dog and I were the only ones there and were able to do a crossfit workout inside the fence. Im just passing through but I am going to try and hit it up again tomorrow before I leave. Nice area for dog water too.

    Nice Big Field

The grass was cut when we went. It's not very busy but it is a nice big grassy field for your dog to happily run.

    deserted

I just recently moved to Lafayette from baton rouge where the dog parks are great. This is my first dog park here in Lafayette and I probably wouldn't go back. When we got there the one dog that was there left when they saw us coming in. The grass hadn't been mowed in a week or two. It was just empty.
