    Great Spot

This place is very large. And lots of room for the 4 leggers to run and play. Hopefully it gets more populated in the warmer days.

    Good Location

Very nice place. Big dog and small dog side. Brought my German Shepherd puppy twice so far and the dogs and owners were very respectful. Had one instance where a dog became escalated but their owner took action right away and left the park. Park is full of wood chips rather than grass. But overall great place!

    Great, busy spot

I’m new to the area and i was quick to explore all of the new dog parks around me when i adopted my dog. out of all the ones i visited, glastonbury is my favorite! surrounded by awesome, scenic walking trails and it’s always busy with great people. I spend hours there meeting others and playing with all the dogs while my dog has a blast and tires himself out! only a handful of occasions I’ve witnessed a dog get aggressive either at my dog or someone else’s, but everyone at the park is SO quick and willing to jump right in to break it up ASAP no matter who’s dog it is, with the dogs safety in mind. dogs are dogs and some are territorial over materials - every owner I’ve encountered has been apologetic and attentive to make sure their pup didn’t keep up the behavior and left if they didn’t. we will forever frequent this spot! BUT - bring your own water and poop bags!

    Not A Fan

This dog park is the biggest I’ve been to, but surly not the best. There is no running water, no poopie bag station inside the dog park. Just a mess

    It's time for a fundraiser !

I am a resident and am disheartened that this park isn't as safe, natural or environmentally smart as it could be. I know that funding is tough for our town so I would like to float the idea of forming a group to raise funds for improvements. Please respond to this note if you agree.

    Issues:

    Lots of fleas...everywhere
Mulch is very bad for doggie paws ....grass is much better.
    Needs a water source badly!
    Solar lighting would be helpful.
Laws regarding aggressive dogs need to be enforced or perhaps a separate area to get a new dog acclimated before introducing them to larger group parks.
Plantings should be non-poisonous.. I believe there are two that I noticed that are questionable.

    Thanks all!

    Bring your own water!

This park is terrific - good drainage, mulched, some shade, large and well attended but bring your own water as there is no water supply on site.,

    Glastonbury Dog Park

Nice, large park, fenced-in, with plenty of other dogs stopping by, especially on weekends. Situated next to CT River in an area the Town of Glastonbury is re-developing.
