The weather was a bit brisk, 66 degrees against a forecast of 75. Took my pup and littles to the beach where there were a lot of other families with pups in tow.
The sand is a bit rough- suggest water shoes unless your feet are calloused. I was very disappointed by the fact that we had to walk around several piles of dog poop on the beach, clearly people do not clean up after their pets. It is not likely that we will return to this location.

Lots of trails along the Cliffside and of course a beautiful stretch of beach. As noted by others, not many places for trash.

Wonderful beach for pups but steep climb and no garbage cans

I liked this beach! I recommend checking what is going on in Half Moon Bay before going. I took my 12 year old border collie on a weekend when there was marathon. Big mistake! No parking anywhere! Thankfully, I got lucky finding the last available parking spot right as a family was packing up to leave.
The getting to the beach was a struggle. The stairs lead into a lagoon of muck.. Locals happened to be near us and showed us the best way to the beach (through the railing over a small unstable bridge). My pup has arthritis and ended up ditching the bridge and walking through the muck...
Once we got there, it was perfect! The sand was nice and warm, but not too hot.
Very friendly dogs and the tide was just right.
Not what I expected at first, but well worth the struggle to get there.
Definitely going back to that beach😊
I do give 4 bones because there were no trashcan for pet waste and because the way to the beach was such a hassle.

Very nice & clean beach. Would have rated it a 5 but there were no garbage cans for those poop bags! We had to carry our bags to the dumpster by the restaurant, back up on the highway.
