After a LONG day of traveling, this was a great spot to get the zoomies out! Parking fee ($10.50) was well worth it.

I took my dog here for a romp on 05/16/2023 but as of 05/15/2023 there is a $10.50 charge, or buy a season pass. hard pass

plenty of land and well behaved dogs for my pup to play with. found this park close to RT 15 when we got stuck in traffic and needed a walk. I wish there were more places like this one!

Of the three dog parks in the immediate area that I’ve been to I’ve found this one is the best. It has a huge open for the dogs to run and play, lots of trails to hike and squirrels to chase. Unlike many other “dog parks” it’s really a dog friendly park, kind of like a big Winslow park, in Westport. So there’s no fence. The upside is the people who come here actually have to pay attention and have a good command of their dogs. This factor is the #1 reason I love this park and others like it. (Unfenced)
They also have a large frisbee golf course a large pavilion area (no dogs) and an open green (also no dogs) - FrankMore than a year agoGreat place for dogs (and owners)
The park is really nice with plenty of trails. As correctly pointed out unless you are resident you pay a fee. That only applies between April 15 and later fall. There is a water fountain for both dogs and owners fairy close to the parking. Doggie bags are placed on several spots more on voluntary bases. Please clean up after your dog as you will notice there are some irresponsible dog owners. We visit the park almost daily. The dog loves it. Keep an eye for ticks.

One must have Norwalk proof of residence when entering/ a beach park sticker or you will be charged $5. It is a nice place, but quite a few residents that come to walk without dogs, Bicycles, and watch out for the Frisbee Golfers, who will pitch Frisbees at their goals in the woods where you walk. I have known a dog and two people who have been hit in the head...if you have a large breed dog, make sure it is under good voice control, for people who do not like friendly dogs or have smaller dogs they are walking. Dogs are not allowed in the main field or on the playground, and watch out for the weddings, which may be taking place at the Tea house, next to the trails....there are no fences either, not truly a "Dog park" and Coyotes have been spotted frequently.
