Tommy Casey Memorial Dog Park

Fairly spacious, completely fenced, off-leash dog park in a quiet area. There's a spigot so you can give your dog fresh water, a nice agility course to try out, benches for the humans, and plenty of trees. There are also a couple trash receptacles, but there aren't always waste bags available, so make sure to bring your own. People seem to have a habit of leaving tennis balls behind, so you might be in luck if you left toys at home! Hours are from sunrise to sunset. Rules are fairly standard: vaccinations are a must, remove all choke or spike or prong collars, children under 16 must be with an adult, an owner must be inside the park with their dog(s) at all times, leash your dog(s) if you can't control them, aggressive dogs and dogs in heat aren't allowed, and fill in holes and pick up waste your dog leaves. Too many ticks

We only brought our dog here once, and it was completely empty (but could be because it was a little chilly out). He did enjoy running around off leash, but the reason I'm giving it 1 bone is because he was COVERED in ticks when we got back to the car. I had to ask my husband to pull over the car literally 4 times because I kept finding them on him! It doesn't seem like the part is regularly maintained because the grass was long, and this is why I think he got so many ticks. If you do go, make sure your dog is on a tick preventative.

    retired

I checked out the dog park today before I took my 4 pounder. I'm glad I did, because there were all large dogs. Is there any way that here could be a small fenced area for little guys?????
    thank you

    Nice little park!

My family and I took our dog here today for the first time, and she definitely enjoyed it. We unfortunately had the park all to ourselves (it was midday), so she didn't get to play with any other dogs, but she had a good time running around and sniffing every tree. We noticed a lot of bowls had been left around the spigot, which is nice, although our girl would probably drink straight from the spigot if she had to. Quite a few tennis balls were left too, and almost everyone had cleaned up after their dogs. There's lots of shade and not a lot of noise from nearby roads, so all told it was a very pleasant experience. We'll definitely be back, and I'm already making plans for a doggy playdate at the park with my co-workers and their furry friends.
