    It's okay

Recently I moved to Spartanburg South Carolina. Since I moved here I decided find a dog park to take my dogs too. This dog park was only 14 minutes away from where I live. My first impression it was quaint. It was well fenced in with a lot of shade, there's poop bags provided as well as water. The kiddie pool is a little bit too small for a big dogs. The dog bowls are chewed up would be nice if they would replace. Only seen tennis balls for toys and two obstacle courses but one is made for smaller breeds of dogs. Every time I went there no owner or animals other than one time and people did watch their pets. I can say they could trade out the trash a little bit more than what they do .

    First Doggie park

Sargent Pepper came to me very timid, we've been desensitizing and it's going well. We've been to this park three times now. The first time there were two other dogs, Sargent did fine. The second time there were no other dogs and he was able to look around at will. The third time, we didn't actually make it in, there were a lot of dogs there and Sargent just wasn't up to it. We will be back

Spacious to run off leash, water and poop bags provided

My dogs Buddy (lab mix) and Lily (plothound) enjoy the Rail Trail dog park most of the time. There is lots of shade in the summer from the trees and there is a watering area with bowls to drink and kiddie pools to cool off. The only problems we have encountered is that there are "regulars" who frequent this dog park who are not attentive to their dogs. They allow their dogs to poop without scooping it up despite there being poop bags provided at the park. Both of my dogs have been nipped at and humped or harassed here by other dogs and the owners do not intervene. I have asked people to please restrain their dog if the dog is going to hurt or scare my dog, and I have been told that it's just their dog's nature or how their dog plays, etc. This is just an excuse for their dogs poor behavior. Buddy and Lily should be able to run and play without being attacked. I should also note that the "regulars" who use this park do not vaccinate their dogs and their dogs do not have tags or collars. So if you choose to use this park avoid dogs without tags and collars and you will have to leave early if there is a problem with another dog because their owners will not stop their dogs from hurting or harassing others.

    Okay

It seems like there has been a lot of effort looking after this park, and it was nice to have one in Spartanburg, however we can only give it 3 bones because the ground is woodchip which our dog does not like, plus there was a lot of poop left around -such a pity people do not pick up after their pooches !!

    amazing place

I took two of my Great Danes
for the first time today. We loved it. Everyone (human and dog) was super friendly. The dogs all got along. The space is huge and filled with toys, obstacle course, chairs, tables and a large open area to run. They provide bags, scoops, water, dog bowls, and toys. I was so happy we are taking the rest of our dogs tomorrow. This place is amazing. No poop anywhere.

    irresponsible owners!

When we first got in the park it was okay but not even 5 mins later, another dog started to harass one of my dogs. He kept mounting himself to my dog and the owner was just sitting. When he finally noticed it, he just laughed. I don't know how he finds it funny. He just called his dog which didn't listen and kept harassing my dog. After awhile I had it and just left. I took my dogs here for them to play not be harassed. If you're not a "regular" you won't feel welcome here. A lot of poop around the area as well cause the "regulars" are just busy chatting and wasn't paying attention to their dogs. Never coming back here.

    Needs better management

Dog owners do not watch their dogs. They just toss them in the park and hope for the best. There is no division for small dogs and large dogs which can be risky por small pets or puppies. It's a nice place but is poorly managed.

    Love this place

I bring my husky and pit bull here multiple times a week. Safely fenced in, shaded area to sit, everyone is friendly, there are toys, kiddy pools, dog bowls, and tires set up for the dogs to climb on. Some people do not clean up after there dog, but there are only a few who don't and the park is not filled with poop. Before bringing my husky here I almost got rid of him, he was so hyper and was destroying my house. I havent had problems with him since I have been bringing him here.

Too small and busy road next

I don't feel comfortable to go there because there is a busy road next to dog park. The dog park is too small for my yellow lab dog. This park is more like rectangle shape. Not open space or more space to run.

    Dog Lover

I love this park! There is a little plastic tub that my lab loves to splash in during the summer. Water and bags are provided. There are picnic tables, but those have gone to the dogs. Everyone is always attentive of their dog. We go 2-3 times/week.
