Best place to hike in redwoods

Really beautiful quiet place to hike with dogs. Off leash OK but not fenced in. Definitely worth a drive to get to

    Great spot!

We took our pups for a walk while camping near the area. This is a beautiful location, lots of trails, and sights. Would recommend if you are looking for some trails to visit in the redwoods with your pups.

    Dog Friendly Adventure

I came here with my husband and two standard poodles, around 8am in June. Limited parking. Lots of walking. Once you go in, you are in another world. It's really an amazing feeling. One minute you are standing on the street and the next you are in the forest. Everything is green and covered with moss. We kept our dogs on leash. They were totally into the experience. We only ran into one other couple.

    Shady and cool

We didn’t explore extensively, but the wide access trail was lovely with some grade. The shade was nice. There was definitely a presence of mountain bikers.

    so many trails!

Safe, quiet, extensive trail system. Some you share with horses, some with bikes, some hikers only. Friendly people in a beautiful area. Many other dogs in the trails but spread out enough to be alone if with your dog you'd like. My puppy made a few friends and licked a few banana slugs. We explored 3 trails in 2 hours but will be back to do the rest!
