Dying the water blue prevents toxic algae growth. They do it for the safety of our dogs not so it looks pretty 🙄
They actually have rangers around and it’s not super popular so there aren’t a lot of aggressive dogs here like many other parks. It’s beautiful and well kept.

Grayson and I enjoyed the Sweetgum trail (2.6 miles). This trail is very easy but decently long. If you start by going to the right of the trail you will find yourself mostly in shade for about 1/4 mile, the remaining is surrounded by trees but does not cover the trail with shade. I suggest going to the left first so you end your walk with coolness and shade. I defiantly recommend this trail, it is paved/pressed gravel. Also all the trails at this park are dog friendly ❤️

Have been to this park in the past and loved it. My white schnoodle loves to swim. Went today and discovered they put a blue turquoise dye in the water to make it more pleasing to the human eye. Really!? So now my dog can't swim here because I don't want her white coat turning blue for God knows how long it would take to wash out. It's a nice park but the main reason we came was for her to swim. We most likely won't be back.

My dog had a very good time at this park. The play area for big dogs was very clean. I love the agility course they have set up. The dog pond was clean, even if the water was a little green. Will be visiting this parka lot more often!!

We enjoy taking our dogs to this park! It is well kept, clean, and beautiful! The only issue we have seen is the dog pond can get a little stagnant. There is a trail to a creek behind the dog park we let them swim in instead!
