$15 to get in was way annoyingly expensive. Don’t get me wrong, the grounds were BEAUTIFUL & it was a nice day for us. However, although dogs are allowed on the beach; they aren’t wanted on the beach. & there is beautiful are behind one of those houses that would be fantastic for photos of your dog and/or with the family. but of course, dogs are prohibited! the trails are nice & maintained, & they do have a tiny dog park area. sectioned off for both small & large dogs

The $15 admissions fee was worth being able to walk your dog safely on the trails. The trails are short but the vista views were great. All dogs were leashed so you don’t have to worry if you have a reactive dog. They also have a small dog run that separates the bigs and the littles. All in all we had a great time.

Overall I really enjoyed my experience at this park. I only gave it 4 bones for two reasons. It’s expensive- $15 is way too high, and they don’t want the dogs on the beach anymore. Why??? why can’t dogs go on the beach??? There are not enough places for them to swim——even though we live on an island. Makes no sense to me. I’d gladly pay the $15 if my dog was allowed a swim. The walking trails are lovely and well maintained.

Went here on a whim and so glad we did. Nature trails, a little beach and a dog run?! Cannot go wrong!

Enjoyed my day there a lot to see and walk different trails not hard. Good for pups and kids. The water area is beautiful
- KarenOct 6, 2019Great But...
We went for an afternoon trip on a Sunday and we were really looking forward to it BUT there’s a very unfortunately placed shooting range nearby and you could hear pops going off the whole time. My dog is terrified of noises like that so it really just put a big fat bummer on our afternoon.
Otherwise the park itself was fun and very dog friendly so as long as you have dogs that don’t care about pop noises you’ll be fine!

it's a beautiful park but I didn't think the $10 entry fee was worth it, the walk certainly isn't long enough and we had limited access (dogs are no longer permitted on the beach).

On 11/8/14, we took our 6 month old puppy here and we had the best time. Loved the different trails, especially overlooking the Long Island Sound. When we got there, I thought we were at the wrong place, because of how beautiful the grounds were. It was great that they have bag stations situated throughout. We met other dog owners. They could not have been nicer. It's a 40 minute ride for us, but we'll be back again and again.

Took my dog to Sands Point Preserve this morning (June 1, 2014) and the park was amazing. We had a great time on the walking trails but did not check out the beach. According to the website dogs are no longer allowed on the beach, but did not investigate while I was there. Parking costs $10 per vehicle.
