  Beautiful lake

  I took my dogs today and we all absolutely loved it. I parked in the day use area lot and walked down some steps to get to a small clearing right next to the lake. It was absolutely beautiful, and both of my dogs loved exploring, climbing, sniffing and playing. It was gorgeous and peaceful. Kept both dogs on leash as it’s a state park.

  Great,but costs $ 7 to walk

  Beautiful camping area and facilities, therefore the pricey entry fee. Great wild flowers even into September Many parts of the trail plagued by ant hills. Campsites not visible from trail. Trail doesn't make complete circuit, so be prepared to double back1 1/2 miles. Second trail only accessible from campsite area goes along river like area. Of all lakes in the area, it's the only one that gives you a good walk around on a decent trail.
