    Great Area

We had a great walk with our dog. But be mindful of “dead” fallen cacti. We had to help another dog you had gotten into some, we were able to get all the thorns out, but it wasn’t easy.

    Love It!

I had so much fun walking up the mountain with my dog. There are plenty of shorter trails if you don’t want to hike all the way up to the top of Superstition Mountains. I would change somethings when I go next so I have a better time. 1) I would go in the morning and not later in the afternoon. 2) I would park closer to the main trail so that I would be closer to the trail and 3) I would be more water, I didn’t have enough for the dog and myself for the long trail.

    Stay away from hot temperatures

Several trails with around two miles or so. Park Ranger will give you a map of the trails. No shade so a walk in the winter months or early morning are best.
