    Very Tidy

We were in McAlester for business for a couple of hours and live about an hour away so we brought our boys (Goldendoodle & St. Berdoodle). We sought out a dog park and found this one and we were very pleased! This park offers 2 large sections - Large Dogs & Small Dogs and they both have a covered picnic table and water fountains for humans and dogs. The lawn was manicured and there were a few trees. There were poo bags available and this park has an entry area so you can walk your doggie in on leash and close the gate and then take the leash off before you open the 2nd gate where they can zoom into the park. There was only one lady there with her pups when we arrived and then she left soon after so our boys had the park all to themselves. The park was very clean except for a few piles that had not been picked up so I picked those up hoping that others do the same. Highly recommend this park!

    Well-Maintained Spot

We stopped driving cross country and it was very clean, the grass was cut and I’m assuming the city picked up all the extra dog waste or people are just very diligent because it was spotless!

There were two separate areas for big and small dogs and the small dog area was still a good size for our little runner. Will stop by again!

    Beautiful

Driving through Oklahoma with our lab. This is a beautiful spacious park for him to run. Not a lot of shade of it is hot, but a comfortable place to get a little exercise.

    Citizen

Once the McAlester Dog Park Project is complete it will become a vital community asset. It will provide a safe environment for canine citizens and their friends to socialize and exercise without endangering or annoying people, property, or wildlife.
