    Spacious and Multi Terrain

The main area is accessible to most individuals, and there is a small hiking area around back. Lots of open running space. Even when busy there is tons of space!

    Run down

I recently took my pup here. I was so disappointed. Too many aggressive dogs with owners who were too bust on their phones to watch their dog. The place stinks because their is messes that people haven't picked up. The grass is more weeds than anything else. This is sad as I am sure Corporal Crillo would not appreciate his name on such a rundown piece of property.

    Spacious

I was surprised by how big the park was in the middle of a fairly urban area. The stream running through the middle is a wonderful added feature.
My dog who has a long curly coat and likes to jump through the tall grass was completely covered in burrs and had grass awns all over. Nothing major but it did take a decent amount of time to comb/pick them all out.

    wildflowers

My dog and I have been visiting the dog park for the past eight years. We remember the park when it was covered in wildflowers which changed colour every few weeks and attracted bees and birds.
I was so disappointed to see them cut back by the city workers and I would like to see the wildflowers again.
Cutting the grass goes against environmental principals promoting global warming and diminishing biodiversity.

    Great Park! !!

Take my dogs daily, absolutely love it! I have never had a problem with aggressive dogs and to my relief, I haven't had any issues with the people discriminating against my dobermans. It's a huge open space and the creek is a perfect touch. All in all, it is well maintained, well run and from my experiences, respectful.

    Nice Park, Problem People

Great space; way too many untrained/aggressive dogs with owner's who have no control and could care less what their dogs do. Shame.

    Heaven for Dogs!

Absolute heaven for dogs and dog lovers alike. Since adopting 2 puppies last summer I discovered this awesome park. My dogs absolutely love it here!! The re is so much space for them to run and play, I take them as often as possible to play with their puppy friends. Very clean park and the humans are nice there too :)

Surprisingly great spot in the middle of the city!

Traveled to Hamilton for my niece's wedding last September with family and dog Aggie. Asked the Concierge at the Sheraton if there was a spot to run the dog. He mentioned some place in Ancaster and we found it very easily. It was a great place on a Saturday morning and enjoyed the crowd of families with dogs and the river was great fun for Aggie. Highly recommended.
