- KAug 3, 2021Great beach!
Went to East Beach from the residential side and there is free public parking right next to the paid parking. The beach went on forever. Our dog enjoyed the sand and surf. Let her off leash since there was only one other family on the beach when we visited on a rainy day. Would definitely go again!

We parked in a residential area with free public parking and a boardwalk to the beach. The beach was wide, with hardpack sand and plenty of seashells. We walked a couple miles and encountered a couple other dogs.

Use the free parking side next to the paid, arrive early or later. Mid day is very crowded. The beach is dirty. There is trash and garbage everywhere. Drunk people everywhere. The water is murky but you can walk far out and its only thigh or waist deep. My dog had a bad reaction to the salt water and broke out in hives. I was not impressed, but it is far better here than down the road at Stewart beach which is disgusting.....

Went here for a day trip looking for a beach I could bring my dog and family! My dog’s never been to a beach before and seemed to really enjoy himself! It wasn’t too busy on a Friday afternoon and it was so relaxing. Be warned though on beach parking is $10 (free further away) and chair/umbrella rental was $38 for the day (but they were packed up at 4pm). Overall it was a great time and I would definitely go back!

We spent a few hours down at the beach off the main sea wall and were able to park right at the beach line. It wasn't crowded and everyone was courteous of each other. We stayed a few hours and had a great time. Our dog stayed on leash and he had a great time too.
