    August afternoon in RI

Love to explore dog friendly beaches in New England - came across this beautiful peaceful beach. Enjoyed a little walk and watching the boats from the beach

    I like this little beach!

There aren't many beaches that allow dogs year round with no restrictions. Half this beach is sandy and the half best the water is rocky. I didn't go in the water so I can't speak to that. There are Porta potties and a nice grassy area with picnic tables before the beach as well. Overall, nice little spot!

    We loved it!

My dog had the best time with the tiny waves! very Rocky so make sure to pack water and towels to rinse off! It was really nice and quiet (only 1 other dog) and feels like you are at a “real” beach minus the tiny waves ha!

    Secluded

At the end of an industrial park. We were the only ones on the beach in October. Dog was not a fan of the waves, okay with the sand, but I found a lot of great shells

    Quiet Beach, but very rocky

My older dog has never had the chance to go to a beach before since she doesn’t care for crowds or other dogs, so on our trip to RI we wanted to find somewhere quiet to take her to splashy and have the experience of being on a beach. She wasn’t a fan of the water moving (she’s used to lakes) but she did like sniffing in the sand. We did see a couple pieces of broken glass on the beach that my younger dog almost stepped on. Definitely a good dog beach in the middle of the week.

    So awesome!

I live in RI, but the only beaches by me are dog friendly after prime beach time. My dog, child and I had an absolute blast here today! So nice to be able to share the beach day with my furry pal!

Yay!!!! Beach for dogs year round

We live in MA but this was only about an hour and 15 mins away and totally worth the trip. Beach and grassy area with picnic tables! Lots of pups!!!! Great place to chill for the day with your fur baby! Not a ton of shaded areas so bring an umbrella!

    Very nice beach

While we figured out my dogs are afraid of the ocean it was a great spot for dogs. There were quite a few dogs there and it seemed very dog friendly.

We came to the beach today with our 11 week old Goldendoodle and children. Great spot for humans and dogs! Clean and everyone gives you space. Definitely returning

    Pawsome little dog beach!

Brought my senior frenchie here today and loved-loved-loved that all of the other dogs at the beach were on-leash and at a respectful distance from each other! This is very hard to come by, so it was incredibly appreciated.

The beach also includes a large grassy area and picnic tables. There's free parking, porta potties, and plenty of garbage barrels onsite.

The beach is in an interesting area, nestled between General Dynamics buildings, but it felt safe and not creepy at all. If anything, I'd assume that this location has fairly good surveillance/safety considering its neighbors.

    Hidden gem

Love this hidden beach! Soft sand and nice water. It’s windy most of the time, but our pup loves it. very quiet, not usually many people here.

    Doggie Bucket List

We take our dog swimming and boating all the time, but we've never taken him to the ocean. This beach was perfect to cross off that bucket list item. Despite being a beautiful Saturday afternoon, there were only about 20 people and a few dogs here. Our dog had a wonderful time swimming and basking in the sun on the sand. It was a great day!

    No Parking Fee

Parking was free but very limited. Went on a really nice sunny day and it wasn’t too busy. The people were friendly and I didn’t mind swimming in the water. Enjoyed our visit.

    Secret Gem

I am so glad I found this here. It’s not the best beach in RI, but that’s not the point! It was such a joy to bring my pup to a real beach - sand, waves, ocean, bathing suits, and spend the day enjoying it myself. I recommend water shoes for swimming due to the shells/rocks if feet are sensitive. You can swim, kids can play, people are generally spread out enough to have plenty of breathing room. Dogs and people were all friendly, and my girl had just a great time playing! You can walk the dog in grassy areas too. There were 3 garbage cans, several picnic tables, and a ports-potty. Minus the Electric Boat buildings, in front of you is a gorgeous ocean view. It’s a small beach and probably enough people for this not to be the best place for an aggressive dog. Free parking. Afterward we went to dinner for seafood at Finn’s in East Greenwich, which is dog-friendly on the patio. I ordered a little grilled chicken for my pup and they brought it in a dog dish. Noticed some scattered trash on beach, so everyone should remember to clean up after themselves and keep this a nice oasis for our furry friends! So happy to be able to give my dog such fun experiences!

    Great Beach

This was my first time bringing my dog to the beach and I was not disappointed! I only heard of this dog friendly beach from this app so I was a big skeptical but it really is a great beach that’s dog friendly! It’s a small semi-clean beach with many other great dogs and their owners. I would say the only little complaint is the amount of shells/rocks but other than that it’s an excellent beach to bring a dog. Will definitely be coming back soon!

    What a Hidden Gem

This is a great place to take our dogs. We would never have found it without this app! Nice beach, water crystal clear, good place to swim and not at all crowded! Great grassy picnic area too...Watched the ferries to MV.. Will surely go back.

    great time for the pups

We took the boys (2 German Sheppard pups 6 months) to the beach on Memorial Day. The dogs had a blast. It wasn’t overly busy and we had plenty of room to play. The beach was also clean so we didn’t have to constantly worry about them eating something. There were other dogs there as well but everyone respected the distance between the dogs.

    Creepy

Don’t make a trip of this. It’s smack in the middle of Electric Boat stuff. It feels creepy and like a place to do drugs or other bad things. I would bet the water is gross. Not worth it!

    Dog Beaches

Several more that I know of on the West Bay in RI
    Fishermans Memorial at Pt. Judith
Spinks Neck Beach on the other side of runway from Compass rose at Quonset.
Or just google beaches and the state you are looking for them. Most all allow pets.

    Friendly people and dogs

Met some really nice, chill people who all loved dogs...even the ones who were just there for the sand and sun.

    Awesome beach for dogs!

Since there has been so many mixed answers about whether dogs are allowed or not, I called the North Kingstown town hall to ask and they confirmed that leashed dogs are welcome. This beach is small and secluded due to being near an airforce base. There is no charge for parking and a nice little picnic area also. Our dog had a great time and we really enjoyed being here. I highly recommend this beach for dog lovers and thier dogs!

    Amazing dog beach

That was the only beach in RI and the cape with no time limitation where we could go with our dog even during the season. Also free parking and picnic area
