Highlighting handcrafted North Carolina pottery and traditional Southern Appalachian art, Appalachian Craft Center features a variety of goods from many area artisans. Bibliophiles are sure to find something to interest them in the collection of books by local authors as well as books on the history, attractions, and activities available to visitors to the area. Popular area potters contribute many delightful and unique pieces to the craft center's inventory. Visitors to the center will also find wood crafts, handwoven rugs, jewelry, quilts, paintings, jams, jellies, preserves, and honeys, rock lamps, candles, and more.     Friendly staff, nice artsy store

    The employee welcomed our dog in right away and even said we could just let him lie on the floor if we wanted to rather than dragging him around (he is a basset hound). The merchandise is lovely handmade local stuff too.
