Beautiful trail on wide sandy paths through jungle forest and shrubs. Very well maintained. Be sure to bring water for your pooch.

We randomly found this place and it was great! Our dog can get overheated quickly. So, we love walking trails where she can enjoy the outdoors, but in a shaded environment. This was perfect! The trails were well maintained and there was a port-a-potty to use. We were the only folks on the trails, so it was really peaceful! As mentioned, you’ll want to bring water and a bowl along. Also, you’ll need $5 to enter at the honor box.

Nice place to visit, we were hoping for more of a walk with our GSD but the garden is off limits as well as the beach access across the street.

Very well kept park with beautiful trees and wildlife. The trails are really nice, you can choose one of the shorter .5 mile trails, or do the full loop at a little over 2 miles. Very nice combination of jungle, sand, and forest. There’s a neat little turn off on the blue trail that leads you to a bench by the inter coastal . The only area pups aren’t allowed is in the garden, and likely the gift shop. We only saw 1 other couple on the trails, very peaceful. Make sure you bring a bowl for water, you can fill it up at the bathrooms but they are at the far end of the park away from the trails.

Would get 5 bones if dog is successfully treated for ticks. This trip was a fantastic 7 mile hike for me and my amazing dog, Maddy. We were accompanied by a friend and her owner as well. If you are up for an adventure then go for it but this trip made me change flea/tick treatments. And we did see a deadly snake. Talk to the ranger before taking the 7 mile trail but there are other trails available. Bring a lot of water. There are some streams for the four legged friends but they don't look too clean.
