Very well kept park with beautiful trees and wildlife. The trails are really nice, you can choose one of the shorter .5 mile trails, or do the full loop at a little over 2 miles. Very nice combination of jungle, sand, and forest. There’s a neat little turn off on the blue trail that leads you to a bench by the inter coastal . The only area pups aren’t allowed is in the garden, and likely the gift shop. We only saw 1 other couple on the trails, very peaceful. Make sure you bring a bowl for water, you can fill it up at the bathrooms but they are at the far end of the park away from the trails.

Convenient location near the highway and dining options. Hotel was easy to check in and we were given a room on the ground floor near the back entrance. Nothing too fancy about the hotel or rooms but not bad for the price. Nice grassy areas with doggie bags, just watch out for ant piles and inconsiderate owners who don’t clean up after their pets.
