This is my local dog park. people are friendly… pups are friendly! The park is clean and has great patches of shade in the summer sun. All around great dog experience.

Our dog Bailey is very meek and he had a friend Pitsi visiting our house for a few weeks. They needed a place to run free but Bailey is a beagle mix and can never be trusted off leash. So we found this park. It is set back from the road enough that the dogs are not triggered by motorists. Parking is sufficient and the enclosure fence is secure. There is a lot of space and people take good care of the area with cleaning up, sharing toys and places for the humans to sit and talk. Plenty of visiting dogs and a few reliable regulars. Dogs all well behaved. No water. Remember to bring some although we always bring extra. The dogs love to run like a pack the length of the dog park back and forth. Will return when rain stops.

I recently adopted a rescue dog that I am not yet ready to have off leash, so this park has been a GREAT resource for her to get off leash and play safely with other dogs. We have been to a couple other dog parks, and Maynard is easily the best kept, has the most well behaved dogs (and responsible owners). The one thing to remember when you come here is to bring water - and they have spare water jugs you can take home to fill up for when you come back. They also have a group on Facebook (Friends of Maynard Dog Park) where everyone posts about their dogs, updates on if the park is closed for maintenance, etc. which has also been a great resource to stay up to date. Great community to come be a part of for sure!

This is a clean, safe dog park. It's kind of tucked away and not really visible from the street. Look for it right next to the solar farm.
