    Best Dog Park!

This park has large open areas to run, but also a shaded area and water! a splash pad & pools make it great for my lab.

My Favorite Dog Park In CT!

Have brought my 20 month old Shiba Inu countless times here. She’s 16lbs and gets along fine with all the other dogs. A lot of people here have complained about other dogs being aggressive but if you communicate well with other owners and watch your dog you’ll be fine! There is a small dog section and a large dog section.

The park is very nice, well maintained every week, and has water sprinklers for the dogs. I definitely recommend checking it out multiple times to get a feel for different kinds of dogs to see if you like it.

    Aggressive Dogs

Brought our medium sized 1-1/2 year old dog here and she was having fun running around until 3 other owners brought 4 large dogs and let them loose. They immediately chased my dog into a corner and were growling and barking at her. I had to run across the field into the corner to grab her away while the other owners just sat there like this was no big deal. Her whole persona around dogs changed after that. I would not recommend at all for younger or smaller dogs.

    A blast for the dogs

Read the reviews and originally was not going to attend. But after hearing about the water area we checked reviews on google. There was a lot more reviews which balanced out the rating. We went and the dogs had a blast. The owners were super sweet and respectful and made sure there dogs were comfortable with ours before letting them play together. We were new but they were super welcoming. Our dogs had a blast in the water and it’s great for them to cool off. Lots of toys to play with that stay at the park. Our puppy and small dog played together with the big dogs fine. All very gentle and sweet well trained dogs. We did here about a German that supposedly is a little rude. But never showed during the visit. Would definitely come again.

Beautiful park but no friendly dogs

Nice dog park but there are definitely a ton of people who bring their very aggressive dogs on a regular basis. I have a medium/smaller sized dog and almost every time we go, he gets beat up by a bigger and more aggressive dog.

    Horrible Experience

We had a horrible experience at this dog park. We had found this place on this site and after looking at the website it seemed like a place that would be well managed. Our dog was repeatedly pinned down by an overly aggressive dog while the dog owner just stood there and did nothing to control his dog even after our repeated requests. We left the place in less than 5 minutes.

    Friend of Park and Bark

Park and Bark is great! Newly opened, friendly environment for young and old dogs. The Agility course was a challenge but once my dog saw another using it she likes to show off her new skills. My other dog gives it 2-WOOFS! For all the wonderful smells and room to run. THANK YOU NEWTOWN!
