    Hanging Rock State Park

While leashed pets are allowed in the park and at campsites, they are prohibited from the swim beach, inside buildings or in vacation cabins.       Amazing Place

      We went to the hanging rock and lower cascades and the dog loved it. She splashed around in the water and had a great time. And one of the best things was that she had no energy afterwards and slept like a baby.

      Fun day at Hanging Rock

      We visited on Easter Sunday, so it was much busier than usual- lots of dogs present! We didn’t climb the summit, but went on the shorter hikes to the Upper Cascades, Hidden Falls, and Window Falls. The rock stairs at the Hidden and Window Falls could be challenging for some dogs or their owners whom they are yanking down them! The Upper Cascades across the road from the main parking lot and the visitors center was our favorite- a nice little swimming hole! There is a wooden observation deck above it with a wooden staircase that leads down to the Falls.
