    Great for us weary travelers!

This was an easy on/off the highway to break up our long journey home from NY to NM. We wanted a place to let our dogs get their wiggles out and stretch our own legs, too. This was perfect for humans and animals alike! We didn’t end up in the actual dog park but instead walked around the wooded trails and circled the pond. There’s benches to enjoy lunch, water fountains to fill up our dogs bowls, and a somewhat clean bathroom. We will be adding this to our list of stops for future trips across the country!

    LOVELY park!

This is the most charming dog park we have ever visited. Huge! Lots of trails through the woods to explore. Flowers and plants throughout. Plenty of benches and shaded areas. Highly recommend!

    Nice park

I can confirm what other commenter said, the water feature is permanently gone now. For those of you who visit the Cuyahoga valley national park it reminds me of that, they have fenced off a large wooded area. Easy to find and get to and lots of dogs to play with, shame about the water but other than that very nice

NO MORE POND :( - but STILL 110% worth the 2-hr drive)

Most weekends, my Shepherd mix and I pack up and hit the road looking for new playgrounds. We're spoiled for dog park choice in our hometown, so many adventures end with "Not bad - if they ______, this place could be pretty nice!"

Today we tried out Carolyn Mugrage, and I was KNOCKED. OUT. We will DEFINITELY be back. Here's why:
    - Nice big woods/trail area WITHIN OFF-LEASH AREA
    - Plenty of bags/cans for poop (and didn't step in any)
    - Dog wash-off station with human+dog drinking fountain nearby
    - Plenty of chairs, benches and shade for the pet parents to lounge (and nice people to chat with, at least today :)
    - Thoughtful landscaping - woods curve around and cut into the grassy space to make little groves, so unless it's crowded, easy to find your own space, if you want to. Plenty of shrubs, rocks, etc. to get on/under/behind!
    - Plenty of sticks to chase!

ABOUT THE POND - it was a disappointing to find the dog pond GONE. Locals told me it's gone for good, too - drained because kids kept going in (GGRRRRRR) and/or because "some" dog owners complained about safety of their pets. Maybe there was a water quality issue they couldn't fix (seems to happen a lot with man-made ponds). But the "dry lakebed" (pebbly area strewn with boulders and formerly submerged tennis balls) provided a new kind of playspace - DRY SCUBA!! So, we chalked it as a win. But no dog swimming here, for the foreseeable future.

    The best around

We used to live about 15 minutes away from the park and we'd go every weekend. We recently moved so it's about a 40 minutes drive, many parks are way closer... And we still go every weekend. Couldn't ask for anything better in a park. However I probably shouldn't be leaving this review because as the park gets more well-known, there have been a few less than stellar dog owners that show up with aggressive dogs, especially on busy weekend days. Just keep an eye out. Great park.

    Amazing park!

Beautifully landscaped, with a huge fenced area for dogs - including a pond and hiking trails.

In addition to the off-leash area, there are other spaces where dogs are allowed on leash,

    Best dog park around- imo

Extra-large, fully-fenced, trails into woods and open area with small, filtered dog pond. Also has 1 hose for dog rinsing/1 fresh water station and porta-pottys right outside the entrance.

    Dog Heaven!

We had our first visit to this lovely park today and fell in love with the place. The trails, grassy area and lake within the fenced area gives the dogs so much to explore. There are plenty of waste containers and benches so that people of all ages can enjoy the place. We hiked and had so much fun watching how well all the varieties of dogs were able to get along. Our border collie had a blast.

    Nearly Perfect Dog Park

For all the reasons other reviewers said, the hiking, the spaciousness in the smalls park is great. This will be a frequent spot for us.

Actual Hiking trails fenced in area

This is a huge park that actually has trails for hiking! Most dog parks seem to be fenced fields- this one you can hike through the woods. No major distances but several intermingled trails that you can loop around multiple times and feel like you got some exercise too. Lots of squirrels to chase!

    Love this park!

Great spacious park in the woods! Only wish that they would fill the dog pond with a good filtration system. The trails are a plus when my pup needs a break from playing. This is the best park in the area. Friendly people and dogs!

    only the best...

I'm really impressed with this. It reminds me of a wolf sanctuary. I'm going back at least once a week.

    Mrs

We visited this park when my daughter's family came to visit from Oklahoma. Loved the trails through the woods! Lots of room to run. They stated they wished the dog parks in Oklahoma were as nice. I have already recommended this park to others in our family!

    Nice park

Nice park but they need to have water fountains and more waste stations... I see a lot of tossed poop bags over the fence
