We were looking for a place to stop and stretch our legs and happened upon the Frampton House Museum. This historical site has an incredible Harriet Tubman statue that you shouldn’t miss! The grounds are dog friendly and the house allows dogs in if they are calm and well-behaved. There’s also a walking trail if you have more time for your stop.

This was very disappointing. They boast the trees, which are huge, however we’ve seen just as large on our exploration of the area. the house takes about 5-10 minutes to go through. Not a lot of period type things. Nice that our dog was allowed in the house but the only good thing about the stop.

I work upstairs at Frampton Plantation and love to see you bring your dog by for a visit. We encourage you to walk your furry friend around the property and bring them inside. They are a part of your family and we welcome them.

What a gem of a place! A former plantation house, with expansive grounds just off the interstate, we called ahead to make sure we were okay with a 3 month old Great Dane puppy who is just getting used to a collar, and definitely not ready for a leash. We were even more charmed by the people who welcomed us with cameras ready and plenty of shaded picnic tables. We drive up to Virginia from Florida at least 2-3 times a year, so we’ll be back!

Great place to walk the dogs, learn a little about the history of the area and do a little gift shop shopping- all with the pups! Great 20 min stop
