Definitely must be on you check list to bring your pooch. Since 2022 this park has gone through an amazing revitalization thanks to the efforts of dedicated volunteers who enjoy visiting this park on a daily basis.

Since September 2022, the Park has been going through a major revitalization.
Neighbors have come together in partnership with Atlanta Police and Parks & Recreation to remove the illegal encampments and curtail the former illicit activities that once plagued the Park.
Volunteers work to keep the park clean of trash. Neighborhood volunteers are working to mulch the magnificent trees and remove invasive plants and weeds. Plans are in the works to add native plants and create habitats for pollinators and other urban wildlife. - TaylorMay 3, 2020Full Of Homeless Individuals Glass In Park
I would highly recommend NOT going here. There’s a ton of trash and glass throughout the park and there’s homeless people that sleep in the big dog park area.

I brought my dog here and there's trash all in the dog pen. I was honestly scared for my dog that he would ingest something he should and get sick. People obviously haven't cleaned up after their dogs either because there's dog feces EVERYWHERE, which means disease and flies galore.

No other dogs here on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Traveling through, so may not be true, but neighborhood seemed kinda sketchy.
Would try a different park next time. - Tim HollisMore than a year agoFantastic dog park!
Lot's of shade trees and water fountains for dogs and their owners. Great location. Really brings the neighbors together in this Old Fourth Ward location.
