Good mud pits and lots of obstacles. The dog and I had a good time

This dog park is dirt and bark mulch - and very small. Best guess is it is maybe 10,000sf. There are lots of trees, and there’s no place for dogs to congregate and play. It really is the worst dog park in the area. I don’t know why they didn’t include in the grassy field area as dogs like to run. Forget going here if it’s raining, unless you wanna mud soaked dog.

I'll just say it - this is a "redneck park" meaning crass and unsophisticated dog owners who offleash - not terribly surprised to see "red neck dog" problems, specifically - un trained pit-mix, ,husky, cattle dog, german shepherd mix lab and wolf cross breed dogs that can't help forming packs and misbehaving as their owners stand by texting, instagramming or picking their nose.
The handful of responsible, decent dog owners I've met actually go elsewhere - but we all keep hoping this will become a safe & happy place. So we check back....
Sorry to burst the bubble.
I wouldn't recommend this for young pups - I don't recommend this for regular /medium sized dogs. Its not an appropriate small-dog park at all It doesn't seem to have the most minimal considerations for drinking water or sanitation. - Dick BoyceMore than a year agoNo Park
Went to (park)? and could not find it, I called the Bothell park Dept and they said they do not have dog park, no wonder I could not find it. I wish they would take down internet information if they don t have one!

We come here everyday and it really depends on the day, the time and the owner.
Most of the time this is a great little park and our 70 lb dog loves it. He is well behaved but some dogs... Their owners are not. They are either way overprotective and stress the dogs out or let them poop everywhere and are too concerned with their phones to notice. As for a bin for the poop there is a huge one at one end of the park and if you walk around and get yourself familiar with the area instead of standing or sitting by the entrance watching your dog (or the phone)you can see it. - SindyMore than a year agoHad a Wonderful Experience
Took my 3 Coonhounds there yesterday. We all had a terrific time. Loved that the park wasn't all on flat ground. The dogs really got some great exercise running up and down the hilly ground. It isn't a large park, but I like that because I can keep track of my hounds. Everyone was nice and cordial - Dogs and Humans well behaved. Water was shut off for winter, but that was understandable. We'll cart our own in next time.
- CaseyMore than a year agoVery small, no room to fetch
This park sucks, I'm sorry to say. It is far too small with no room to throw a ball or stick. I'm sure it is a mud pit in winter. It does have a lot of trees and bushes, and no barrel in which to throw the scooped poop. Mountlake Terrace should be ashamed of themselves for such an inadequate off leash park. In addition, the park was overcrowded and a fight among dogs broke out...20110925

There are some great people at this park. Sometimes. Then there are days with other people who don't mind their dogs manners and don't seem to care or have any consideration of other people's feelings and they let their dog run rampant all over your dog. We had a great day and then decided to go again and there were a bunch of bully dogs there that decided to bite my dogs throat and grab his ears and drag him around. We finally had to leave after 15 minutes because none of the dogs owners did or said anything. RUDE! We will go elsewhere where owners are responsible for their dog and its behavior.
