Lucy had a great time viewing the falls and hiking the trails. Very dog friendly park. The trails are terrific and easy to navigate for you and your pup. They even have the Bark Ranger program. The visitor center is currently closed for renovation. You should have a national parks annual pass.

This was a beautiful place to hike around. Many trails that follow the Potomac. It can also be VERY crowded. If you don't have a dog that loves other dogs, this might be a hike you take on a rainy winter day rather than any day not rainy! We have 3 dogs, one old guy who isn't a fan of puppies. We ran into about 30 dogs in the 2 hours we were here. You can definitely make space on some of the trails, but some are tight and this is heavily populated with all sorts of kids and pets and people.

Not a ton of shade, so if you are going in summer, bring plenty of water for yourself and your dog. And don't forget your camera. Great place to hang out.

Make sure to bring water for your pup. Dulcinea Doodle loved her walk in the park & got lots of belly rubs.
