    Nice little remote beach.

302 Dock Street denotes the municipal parking lot. The beach is a short walk to the east from the parking lot. Nice sand, some shaded tables, small grasy Park, restroom, playground. Leashed dogs welcome, but no running free.

    Two different places

I did not want to go Atsena Otie Key after reading the reviews but we plugged in the address to see what the beach looked like. The address took us to The Cedar Key City Beach, lil Shark Beach. It is a lovely dog friendly beach! It has a shallow, roped off swim area, clean bathrooms, picnic tables and a little shade. We had a great time with our dogs here. We never saw the key mentioned.

    Potentially Dangerous For Dogs

Atsena Otie Key is a wildlife refuge where an excessive amount of rattlesnakes and water mocassins live. I wouldn't bring my dog here!
