    Great place overall

I took my 5 month Aussie on a Sunday late morning. There were a couple of dogs which can be a problem as some of the paths are narrow. I’m still training my pup so a couple times I had to wait in a corner off path until the dogs or people passed by. Other than that we had a great time. There are benches and tables to sit and eat. the garden is free and we paid for parking in structure lot 2. Bathrooms are also available (the kind you have to yourself).

    Beautiful Garden

Our dog enjoyed very much this place, as well as us! She loved the turtles, we will bring her back for sure! Metered parking $1 for 2 hours, it took us about an hour to walk around the garden at slow to moderate pace.

    Great Walk In The City

Lovely garden on the UCLA campus. Parking was easy, as it was Saturday morning. Bring water for your pup as the hoses need a “key” to turn the water on. Dogs must be on leash, and everyone was very friendly.

    Urban Oasis

My pup and I had a wonderful time here on the easy, short trails. There were lots of turtles and fish in the pond. The stream is beautiful and relaxing. We spent 2 hours there enjoying the smells, squirrels and solitude! Hardly anyone there on this Sunday afternoon, there were no other dogs either. After exploring most of the Botanical Garden within an hour, we sat down to have a nice picnic lunch, there are plenty of stone benches and even tables to have a meal or just sit and enjoy the sights. After lunch we explored a bit more and found a painter painting al fresco, more squirrels, and a few more trails that made us feel like we were on a delightful labyrinth. We brought plenty of poop bags and spotted a garbage can on our trail. This is a wonderful little urban oasis. A mini retreat for you and your best friend that is free and won't take you out of the city. Check out the yelp reviews or call before you go to plan out your parking, hours, etc.
    We will return!
