    Grandad's Apples

    One of the best ways to enjoy Hendersonville, NC's crisp fall weather with your furry friend is to spend the day walking through the orchard at Grandad’s Apples! Whether you choose to pick your own apples from the orchard or select your favorite variety of pre-picked apples, your dog is welcome to join in on the fun. Other pooch-friendly activities include a pumpkin patch, painted farm backdrops for fun photos, and a 5-acre corn maze that offers a challenge for the whole family. Be sure to stop by the country store and bakery before you leave to sample and purchase items to take home including local honey, apple ice cream, apple cider, and even apple cider doughnuts.       Fun for the whole family

      My sister and I took my dog to Grandad’s during our trip to Asheville. We had a great time and Sadie was allowed everywhere we wanted to go including the store area. She loved the corn maze and we met lots of other dogs during the day.

      Dog Friendly

      Dogs are allowed everywhere except the little play area for kids. They ARE allowed in the little store under the tent. My dogs enjoyed being able to walk around in the orchards to pick apples.

      cute place picking apples!

      This place was so cute! Not sure if dogs are allowed under the cover but I didn’t try. We did sit in the rocking chairs some and my lab mix was greeted by lots of people. We had fun walking through the orchard picking apples. There is a donkey and some goats to see also. Would def go back! Apple cider is amazing!

      Fabulous Apples

      We were greeted by the parking guy with a dog treat for Donal. On our visit we ran into several folks with pups enjoying all the things to do at Grandads. Donal made some new friends, also got to sample the delicious apples. They have a wonderful variety!
