Quarry Lakes is a great place for all dogs! There are many easy trails to explore with your buddy and lots of wildlife to take in. Sunrise and sunset is my favorite time to go but it is nice anytime of day! Dogs are required on leash and I’ve never seen the park that busy. Park rangers are out and about quite a bit and the EBRP police occasionally patrol as well. I’ve always felt safe there. There is a ton of parking or you could park down the road and take the Almaden Creek Trail into the park. There are even a few off leash parks close to Quarry Lakes (Shinn’s Pond). I’m at this park every morning and my Golden and I love it!

We love coming here for long walks. People are generally very nice and keep to themselves. Lots of mutt mitt bags if you forget to bring a bag, and trash cans too. Hope they grow more trees as it gets very hot in the summer.
