  Small but nice

  A fenced in enclosure with a double gate. Long and narrow, hence a "run". Despite its size I've never seen it crowded and I go there regularly. Lovely view of the river, especially in the late afternoon.

  On the Small Side

  The park is on the small side. There is now a double gate area which is great. There is also more shade then there used to be, as the trees and bushes have developed since the park was first opened. There is a water fountain right outside gate area but when we went it was broken. Given that New Orleans can be quite hot and muggy, the water situation is pretty important.

  Small City Dog Park

  It's a little hard to find, tucked away behind the train cars. It was a smaller fenced-in park however, considering the busy downtown, it was nice one was available. People appeared to be diligent about cleaning up after their pets and there was a nice public walking path which ran parallel. The park also had a nice view of large ships docked.

  This is the smallest dog park we've been to. There is only one fenced in area, and there is no double gate to stop eager dogs from escaping. It's about half grass and half dirt, with a few trees and bushes.

  Dogs Like It

  This park is okay, not the best we have been to. It does have a few issues that could be better. It is kind-of small, does not have a double gate entry, no bags and trash inside the park or water for the dogs. People bring plastic containers and leave them there to be filled up for the dogs at the fountain outside the park. It also has a lot of sand and not as much good grass as we would like. But, as I said, my dogs like it so we will keep visiting.
