Nice landscapes, not very dog friendly

We drove through Death Valley and enjoyed the views, but dogs are only allowed on parking lots and campgrounds. They are not allowed even in short paved trails going to a panoramic point. That seems a bit extreme, especially in a place where you cannot leave the dog in your car most of the year because of the high temperature.

It’s ok if your in a camper

they don’t let dogs on trails but they can be in the campground but it is very hot and sandy so sand gets in there eyes unless they have goggles

    Should say: “dogs not recommended”

We went to visit in the winter thinking the dog could enjoy the park with us. I read the website and saw they couldn’t go on actual hiking trails but was annoyed they aren’t allowed at any of the main stops. Pretty much had to view everything from the parking lots.

    Not really dog friendly

2 stars in terms of being dog friendly. Allowed on some roads, but not on any trails.

    Not Inherently Dog Friendly

While DVNP is not pet friendly, it can still be enjoyed with your pet if you are willing to sacrifice some sights. I was able to see everything I wanted to with our pup!
